The all new SAILOR 6320 MF/HF DSC Class A – 250W improves on previous successful SAILOR GMDSS MF/HF systems in every way.

Operational communication

Designed to satisfy GMDSS requirements for professional mariners operating a wide range of vessel types, the SAILOR 6320 MF/HF DSC Class A is a robust and high-performance communication system engineered for reliable operation in demanding maritime environments.

The equipment complies with the latest ITU-R M.493-13 standard for MF/HF DSC Class A operation, meeting the mandatory communication requirements applicable to SOLAS vessels as well as numerous national regulations governing the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS).

Highly efficient

The SAILOR 6320 MF/HF DSC Class A is equipped with a highly efficient power amplifier and advanced control electronics, delivering outstanding performance across the marine frequency range of 1.6 to 30 MHz in transmission mode. The system maintains stable and full output power on all designated ITU channels, ensuring dependable communication in a wide range of operating conditions.

Designed to support critical safety and operational communications, the radio incorporates an advanced cooling system that enhances durability and long-term reliability. Its rugged construction and proven performance make the SAILOR 6320 MF/HF DSC Class A a dependable communication solution for demanding maritime applications.

A clear view

The SAILOR 6320 MF/HF DSC Class A features an advanced 3.2-inch QVA display that delivers excellent readability in all lighting conditions. Users can select either white text on a black background or black text on a white background to achieve optimum visibility in daylight, while the integrated red backlighting helps preserve night vision during low-light operations.

Designed with ease of use in mind, the intuitive interface minimizes operator workload both day and night. The combination of a clear display, large tactile buttons, and ergonomic control knobs enables straightforward navigation through the menu system, ensuring efficient and comfortable operation in demanding maritime environments.

The SAILOR 6320 MF/HF DSC Class A is the first MF/HF radio to incorporate the innovative SAILOR Replay function, which automatically stores the most recent incoming communications and makes them available for convenient playback whenever required.

This feature allows operators to review and verify important messages that may have been missed while performing other tasks. By reducing the risk of communications being overlooked, misunderstood, or lost, the Replay function enhances both vessel safety and operational efficiency, ensuring that critical information remains accessible at all times.

Multimedia interface

The SAILOR 6320 MF/HF DSC Class A is operated through the SAILOR 6006 Message Terminal, the world's first Wheelmarked GMDSS terminal with a touchscreen interface. The system also incorporates the latest generation of user-friendly radiotelex software developed by Cobham SATCOM, further improving communication efficiency and ease of operation.

Featuring a modern, multimedia-inspired interface, the terminal provides intuitive access to the radio's communication and messaging functions. Its user-centric design simplifies operation, reduces operator workload, and ensures efficient handling of essential communication tasks in demanding maritime environments.

Efficient communication

As part of the SAILOR 6000 GMDSS Series, the SAILOR 6320 MF/HF DSC Class A incorporates ThraneLINK, an advanced networking platform designed to provide seamless communication and integration between onboard systems.

Through a single access point, service engineers can monitor and manage the vessel's communication network, reducing maintenance requirements and lowering overall lifecycle costs. In addition, the system automatically recognizes newly connected equipment, simplifying installation procedures and enabling faster and more efficient system configuration and expansion.

Further integration

The SAILOR 6320 MF/HF DSC Class A incorporates integrated monitoring of both the main power supply and backup batteries, eliminating the need for separate battery supervision equipment. In addition, the system does not require an external GPS receiver, simplifying installation and reducing overall system complexity.

By removing the need for a dedicated battery panel in the GMDSS console, operators can save both time and installation costs. GPS information can be obtained directly from the SAILOR 6110 mini-C GMDSS through the existing ThraneLINK connection, eliminating the requirement for additional cabling and enabling a cleaner, more efficient, and cost-effective system integration.
